Don't WorryIf there is anything in life I have learned and that is not to worry! Sometimes you can look to hard into things! So, my future wife sit back and relax it will all work out! I love you! HidiousWhile listening to the radio Iiearg a comment about that the news networks were not allowed to say anything bad about the President ! What happened to that law or criteria when Bush was President? Could it possibly be that the Obama mation does not want to hear the truth of the matter and how bad they suck? Meet Her

Greg A. Hyatt Stand With Israel
As many of you know if you have been paying any attention to the news, Israel is at a critical cross road in its decision as to what to do with Iran! I stand firm with Israel and its decision to make precision strikes against Iran’s nuclear sites. It is time that a country come forth that has the capability to deliver the blows needed to bring Iran’s nuclear ambitions to a creeping halt. I think that America should stand firm in allegiance with Israel to accomplish this. I know that this will not produce a very favorable signal to the Obama supporters, however, what people do not take time to think about is say another 3 years down the road when Iran is fully nuclear capable how will we react then to when they take the first offensive move against the U.S. or any of its allies. I feel like I current administration has done our country a terrible injustice and we must stand firm in our resolve to maintain the level of security that we currently have. At no other time has this become as important as it is right now! With the attempt to nationalize the banking system, moral values in terrible compromise and Christian views being laid to the way side…..we must take a stand now! Many years ago a book was written titled “1984”. I am sure that many of you are familiar with it! Although 1984 has come and gone the principles and ideas that the book was based upon are taking fast shape and form in our country today! We must not lay down on our hands and pretend that this does not exist. Look to the heavens for the answers! We all know what must be done! The only question now is will our Country stand firm in doing so! I know that only time will tell! Our very existence as a free nation is at risk!
Greg Hyatt Is It Just Me
Surely I Am Not Alone
I have been putting this blog posting off for a while as I know that when I get on one of my political tangents that I have a tendency of irritating many people around the community as well as some on my friend’s list. However, I can no longer go on containing this within me! I have been sitting by patiently and waiting to see what direction our current Administration was going to take us into since he claimed he was all about change. Change was right and I am convinced that it was not a change for the better. So our President feels that the best way to bail our current state of economy out is to borrow trillions of dollars from none other than China to rebuild our country and to bail out what was already a failing economy! How can he see that the best way to get us on the right track is to place us into further debt and from a country that would just as soon take us over as they would to spit in our face. Is it just me or does anyone else out there seem to think that our Nation is certainly heading down a road to nowhere and one that is not going to be easily corrected. Is this the legacy that you want to leave your children and grandchildren? How are we as hard working tax paying citizens going to explain this to them? Are we going to suggest that the best way to pay your bills is to rob Peter to pay Paul? These are ideas that were taught to us years ago to be wrong by our parents and grandparents yet this has seemingly become the American way to survive and one that is going to destroy this country! Now let’s move on to another hot topic …..what gives with all of the negative hype about how we dealt with terrorists. Oh so now that our President wants to gain favor with the various countries and organizations that would wipe us off the map if they had a chance by saying we are sorry and to divulge all of our interrogation practices? Look we all know that war can be hell and not everything is always going to be pretty as some would like to think. However, let me address this……what if we had to go into another all out war and some of those practices had to be used again….do we really want our adversaries to know what we do and how we do it? I don’t think so! I see that everyone is having a so called tea party again! What they really need to be focusing on is how we are going to recover from our current Administration and some of the poor decisions that are being released from the Oval office! Enough is enough and I think most American’s are now starting to see that possibly the one who called for “Change” in America may not have been the right choice! The only problem is that we are stuck with him or at least until someone organizes a rally to get this man out of office before he forever changes the direction that the one known country called America is heading for! Take a good look around people at what is going on….just watch the news and really think about is this the way that you want our country to be headed? I would think that most of you if you truly took time to examine it would see exactly what I am saying to be true! There seems to be many who are in agreement with me, however, why are we not collectively standing together to get this man out of office before he changes things that we will not be able too without a huge price in American lives. People who were outraged at the number of troops lost in the Gulf War will surely have nothing to compare what lies around the corner! Facts that are right before our eyes if we are not too blinded to be able to see them for what they are! America, the time is now! Either change it or deal with what you will be dealing with until the end of time!
Greg A. Hyatt Spam Blog Comments
Make Them Stop
Is is just me or has anyone else been getting a ridiculous amount of spam comment’s on their blogs posts. For some time now I have been getting an absorbent amount of unwanted comments that have absolutely nothing to do with my blog post. Below is an example of what I am writing about! What you see here is a massive amount of links that were left as a comment to one of my blog postings. Click Here to see the actual blog itself! This is highly frustrating to me as I only want the comments that are truly meant as a response to the post to show up! I realize that in order for me to maintain an open relationship with the Community Clubhouse that I must have a public blog site that is open to all, however, there has to be a way to minimize these relentless attacks on people’s blogs. Fortunately, thus far, they have not been any adult ads appearing. This does not make this issue any less frustration though! I have read many article’s and wonderful posts on how to eliminate spam and unwanted mail and am very familiar with those techniques, however, is there a way to control what can be left as comments without having to restrict the level of permissions of your blog site? Also, I would be more than grateful if Microsoft would change their policy on requiring actual names to be shown as opposed to say “No Name” so we can at least pin point those who may be violating the “TOS” as defined by Microsoft. I was reading another blog post with some wonderful suggestions and I certainly hope that the wonderful people around Microsoft will act appropriately to the suggestions that were rendered within it! Previously you had to provide the link to the URL of the person who was sending the abusive spam and as suggested in the post a person should just have to click on the name of sender and “Report As Abuse”. Although, it has been a while since I have been an active blogger with both my personal world as well as the things I do for Microsoft’s Community Clubhouse I am eager to know that these item’s are being looked into! So, what issues are you experiencing around Live Spaces and what would you like to see a well put together blog on? Tell me and I will certainly research it and go live with it before I have to be back on the road again! As many of you know, I am an over the road driver by profession and blogging is my secondary love. If you would like me to stop when in your neighborhood for a wonderful discussion, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am always looking to meet the wonderful faces behind the many friend’s that I have made along the way here in Live Spaces. Until the next posting I get to release, have a wonderful and blessed evening!

The Road Less Traveled
He Can Rest In Peace Now
Well, today started off as a dreary rainy day! This morning I woke up and immediately checked my phone to make sure I had not missed any important calls from my precious friend, Rick’s family, to give me news that I was not prepared to hear! After sitting around and watching TV for a while I received a call from one of Rick’s sons, Shannon, to advise me that his dad was down to 15 respirations per hour. I immediately knew that he was clinically dead at that time. I had called Rick’s wife to speak with her and check on her emotional condition. Not more than approximately an hour and a half had passed and Shannon called me once again to advise me that Rick had drawn his last breath and that he was no longer in pain. Needless to say I immediately broke down in tears and now I am trying to make necessary arrangements for me to get back to Ohio as quickly as possible since I am supposed to be a pall bearer at his funeral! I am not too sure how well I will hold up under that responsibility since it seems here lately I am having to do that more and more! It is not the fact that death scares me or that some day I, too, will subcombe to it myself. Although, I have already let out my tears I know that this has not hit me in its entirety as of yet and this is going to make for a long day! I am grateful that my wonderful wife is here by my side to comfort me the best she can or I would be stuck in the motel room all by myself and really having to struggle with this at a time when I am not prepared to do so! It Will Be An Empty Road
My brother we have spent some wonderful times together traveling up and down life’s highways together and shared some wonderful times along the way! Although, I have miles to travel ahead of me through some of the roads you have already been ….it will not be the same without you by my side to show me and carry me along the way! As I will gaze off into the distance of empty roads and gleaming skies I will always see your face looking down upon me telling me not to let the road of life beat me up and drag me down! You have showed me how to navigate through many twists and turns of this wonderful life we have shared together! You my dear brother and friend will be burnt into my heart forever for the many days that lay ahead.
Brother it may seem like a long way up to the sky but I will be here knowing you are watching over me every day of my life. As I feel the air pass along my face I will know that is just you being there to keep me safe! Cherished times we have shared and now I must say goodbye to you as you walk up those stairs. If you would not mind from time to time…..reach out and touch me and guide me along the way! I have miles to go and roads to travel but with you in my heart the hours will travel quickly. My dear precious friend know that you have forever changed the direction of my life and for you I wish I could spare my life! Your family is proud and you will be missed but at times like these no words will exist. I know you feel like you are all alone but I know the one who has taken you home is going to carry you along! So now that you can no longer walk on your own just know that the one who gave you life has come to take you home. No more pain and no more fears you can now dance with Jesus for the rest of the years. Just know my brother that you will be missed and I stand here waving you into the heavenly abyss. Rick you are loved my precious friend and I will write to you time and time again!
This tribute has been put together as my memory of Rick Hunt! He went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 19, 2009. May he rest in peace and no longer be in pain! I release you into the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ!
His Loving Brother
Greg A. Hyatt A Time of Test and Trials
They Come In Pairs
Good day to all of you! Many of you know that I am back on the road and driving again! While sitting here patiently awaiting on my truck to be repaired after another driver drover over my hood with his trailer I am having to cope with a wide realm of emotions and anxieties about some other issues. I have just recently made it known to a couple of my friend’s around the community that I am battling cancer and how that has affected me. What is now a more trying time for me is sitting here in a Motel room with my phone by my side waiting to here from the one person that I consider to be my big brother. Many years ago when I went to work for the carrier that I am presently employed by, Jamestown Transportation, one of their senior drivers by the name of Rick Hunt took me under his wing and showed me the ropes of how they do business and how to stay on top of my game plan after having already been trucking for 8 years this came in quite handy since the do things way different than most trucking company’s do. For me Rick became my mentor and even more importantly became a friend and a part of my extended family! As some of you know many truck driver’s use CB handle’s to communicate with one another while going up and down the road! Rick’s handle is Ricochet and mine is Maverick! For a long time we were pretty much together behind one another going across this great country of ours. We have spent many miles and hours sitting together and helping each other with life’s problems and learning from one another how to bring everything into perspective. Between my dry humor and Rick’s quit witted humor you just never knew what the two of us would come up with next. We became a part of one another’s family and I look at his family as a part of mine! Now as I sit here by my phone I am waiting to hear if my brother is going to make it through the night as he is loosing his battle to leukemia. Rick contracted this over 2 years ago and it is a rare form of leukemia that normally only affects children, however, he acquired it and it is most generally always deadly in adults. He contracted the deadly disease through a virus and that is what dropped him straight into it. I have been in contact with his children over the past two days and they have advised me that Hospice has been called in and they do not look for him to make it through the next couple of days. Needless to say this has me more than by my side as I thought it would be impossible for someone as physically fit as him not to mention in my eyes indestructible. Most generally many of you have known be to be full of words to put into a blog post or just about anything that I put my mind too, however, at this time I am nearly at a loss for the appropriate thing to say! Come Home To Me Son
Above and beyond that I am aware that God will continue to pour out his Angel’s from above to watch and protect Rick’s family as they have to endure the loss of their father, husband and provider. At no other time have I felt such a loss since the loss of my own father! Rick was as much a part of my family as any of those who are actually my blood relatives. My heart is wide open and hurting like at no other point in time in my life! Thank God for my wonderful girlfriend who has been by my side. Ok, so you all do not get confused I, also, call her my wife since we are going to be married. I know that God only takes the best to be with him, however, I have to be honest when I say that I am somewhat irritated that he has to take my brother. I know that in time my heart will heal and will those of his family that he will leave behind as well but it just don’t seem fair. I most certainly will keep you all updated once I have more info on his situation and all I ask is prayer not for myself but for Rick and his family! Father God I come before you right now and ask that you extend your hand of comfort and blessings upon the Hunt family at their most desperate time of need and to do what is in your best interest for your divine plan! Amen!

As always….Just another program you can use to make your blogging life a little simpler and more refined. Greg Hyatt Patiently WaitingWell, we are still patiently waiting on the completion of our truck repairs. The final estimate came in yesterday and I was blown away to learn that it is going to take nearly $17,000 to complete the repairs. The only thing I can say is thank God for insurance on the party at fault. It will be like having a new truck from the windshields forward. I suppose this will be a good thing since my truck has nearly half a million miles on it. I am excited for the repairs to be completed and resume trucking around the country. Yes to answer the question I drive a 379 Peterbilt with a wonderfully fine tuned Cat 600 C-16 that will scream down the Interstate like a jet engine that is looking for a runway to take off on. ![]() Is this just not the prettiest little thing you have ever put your eyes onto! Yeah, she is a real beauty and will take you down the road and have even the other drivers saying "Whoop Whoop, truckin' it up". For those of you who may not be aware about trucks and which of them lead the way in the trucking industry, Peterbilt is the preferred truck of those who have been in this industry for as many years as I have. Peterbilt has always been know as a truck that is the leader in class, appearance, value and always catches the eyes of everyone that comes in contact with the truck. I have been in trucking for nearly 20 years and would like to consider myself one of the few "White Knights" of the highways and big road! Let be expand on that for a momemt. Many of you have seen people broken down on the side of the road or an elderly couple who may be in need of help changing a tire. It is very common for me to stop and assist in any way that I can or at least stay with them until they can get help. Courtesy seems to be a thing of the past on our highways and byways and I encourage each of you to be courteous not only each other but the the millions of trucks that operate daily around our country to ensure that you have the things that you use in everyday life. I know we are big and can be slow at times, however, there is not one aspect of your life that is not in one way or another brought to you by a truck! Have any of you heard of the "No Zone" ? I want to share that link with each of you so you can learn some things that will make your traveling around big trucks a little safer and bring some things to light for you that possibly you were not aware of! ![]() Powered by ScribeFire. |
