Sound Off With Music On Your Space

    clubhouseheader

I have received numerous request to assist in obtaining the ideal “Music Player” for your “Spaces” site.  One of the best that I used myself comes from the fine people at Project Playlist….Click Here to visit their site.

Having music on your site can be a great benefit.  As with any content you will want to update it from time to time and keep it fresh to your visitor’s will look forward to visiting your space!  If you will visit projectplaylistmy “Spaces” site you will see what I mean!  Click Hear to take a sneak peek.  First you will need to sign up for an account with them which is 100% FREE.  How about that ….not too often that you can find some of the wonderful things to utilize on your site and the best part it is free!

Sign Up is a snap and wont take you long at all before you can start researching their huge database of useable MP3’s to have playing on your site.  Of course it is addictive and you will be simply amazed at all the music you can find to use.

projectplaylistlogin  This is what it will look like when you go back and login to their service.  Very clean and quite secure I might add!  So no need to worry about your information being hijacked or anything else like that!

    You will see for yourself!

    playlistsearch

Once you are logged in you can begin your search for million’s of different songs or artist or already existing playlist that already have been created or create a list of your own.  Either way….it is such a snap and I know you will find music to sooth your ears and bring your space to life.

    demosongfirst

Once you have found the selected songs you want…you will want to listen to it first to ensure that it will work on your site.  You can do this by clicking on the play button by the title you are wanting to hear.  Once you decide that it is the correct song…click on the plus sign to add it to your list.  If you have not created one as of this time it will ask you to do so and then it will add if for you!  Such a breeze!  Nothing to it and you will see just how much fun you can have with this!

What you see next is my extensive collection of music list that I have compiled for use on multiple sites that I operate.

    addsongtoplaylist

This is especially important so you can use a variety of music pre-defined by you for your different social networks.  Just make sure you check the box of the appropriate playlist you are wanting to assign your new music too!  Once you have found all the music that you are looking for and added it to your list, the next step is as easy as this whole process has been thus far!

I have children that utilize this so I have absolutely no doubt that you will be able to master this in no time at all!

    clickcontinue

One you have added all your music you will then want to click on the continue button so that you can now customize your player.  If you have noticed that maybe there is some more music that you want to add….do not worry, right below where you click on “Continue” is a link that will allow you to continue to add music to your playlist!   Of course you can continually modify your list throughout the life of it!  You will just have to replace the code once you do!

    customizeyourplayer

If you chose to continue this is where you will customize your player!  You can choose between several different colors, whether or not to have your player automatically start and if you want to have your songs start in a different order every time someone visits your site!

Once you have completed this process you are now ready to acquire the coding that will make this player work in your “Spaces” site.

    gneratecode

Once you arrive at this point make sure you select option “E” as this will allow you to generate the code that will work on your “Spaces” site.  Now all you have to do is copy and paste the code they provide in an HTML module save it and there you have it….a delightful player on your “Spaces” site to give you and your visitors some ear candy to listen to!  I hope that all of you will find this easy and a valuable asset to your Space.

Thank's Greg. I read your blog and started testing the player right away. Works great!

By the way, do you know how to automatically play a song by requesting a specific URL on the address bar? I don't want the player to start running the playlist every time a user clicks on my live space, but from time to time I want to point a friend to a specific song I have in my playlist by just askin him to click a hyperlink. Is there a way to execute one of the songs by using a specially formatted hyperlink?

Hallo, Greg. I have been shockingly remiss in not thanking you earlier but I followed your instructions here and created a really great playlist which has been up and running for several months already. So - a big thank you for the detailed explanation.

I used them to create a playlist for my space too.  I think they have created an excellent product.  It doens't matter how obscure the song.  You will probably find it there.
